Building Biology Connection was created to counter the unhealthy impacts of modern urban living

Building Biology is on the front-line helping people uncover what is making them sick by visiting their home or workplace. Until the source of harm is removed recovery will not be effective.

James Poon received his Advanced Diploma of Building Biology at the Australian College of Environmental Studies (ACES) and is a committee member of the Australasian Society of Building Biologists (ASBB). James is also a member of the Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA), the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA), and received his Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Melbourne. A long career in architecture prior to the creation of Building Biology Connection adds construction industry insight when advising on healthy new construction solutions or uncovering where an existing building has failed its occupants.

The buildings we regularly inhabit become so familiar that we take their quirks for granted without realizing they may be the pathway of environmental exposure:

  • poor sleep quality and chronic fatigue

  • persistent cold, flu and respiratory symptoms

  • debilitating allergies and skin rashes

  • headaches, muscle and joint pains

  • dizziness, concentration and memory issues

  • chest tightness and arrhythmia

  • recurring infections

If you have been referred by a health professional, simply suspect your home or workplace as a cause of ill health, or are planning for a new home for improved health, then get in touch to start the journey towards a better quality of life. You have discovered someone who will educate you, guide you step-by-step, and endeavor to get you onto the road to recovery.
