Mould testing - Building Biology Connection

Mould and Moisture Assessment with Report

When mould is present, and you would like to identify the source of its growth arrange for a comprehensive assessment on site. Your personalised service begins with taking your health history as well a review of the construction details and history of your premises. Assessment involves the use of hygrometer readings, thermal imaging, destructive and non-destructive moisture metering to uncover the source of moisture issues. Most commonly, and possibly claimable on insurance, these issues take the form of water leaks from the roof, walls, plumbing or drainage. Just as commonly, problems can arise from excess condensation or poorly maintained mechanical ventilation. Air and surface samples can confirm the genre, concentration and condition of mould growth. For sensitive individuals, mycotoxin testing can reveal why seemingly clean environments still trigger symptoms. A written report is provided to interpret the results from the lab, provide an opinion on potential health effects, and to guide the remediation works process.

PRV - Building Biology Connection

Post-Remediation Verification (PRV) Clearance Testing

When health effects have been advised your mould remediator's work should be inspected and assessed by an independent third party, such as a Building Biologist, who can verify that your property has been returned to a 'normal fungal ecology' in accordance with IICRC S520 guidelines. A brief report covering the laboratory results is included.
